Devonshire Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea is one of the most loved experiences at The George and can be enjoyed as part of a private event or special gathering. Our Devonshire Afternoon Tea features freshly prepared sandwiches, homemade cakes and, of course, traditional scones – an ideal choice for small gatherings or family celebrations.

Afternoon Tea is also available to the public every Saturday and Sunday. Pre-booking is recommended – simply contact the team to reserve Afternoon Tea for Two. We look forward to welcoming you.

Private Receptions

With a variety of rooms to suit every occasion, no matter what event you’re looking to host, we can help you make it the best day possible. The Bar and Coffee Lounge area is an ideal space for a private reception. With a stunning roaring open fire, this space is cosy and comfortable, perfect for a quick catch up with friends or a small gathering. The Dining Room is suitable for smaller gatherings of up to 14 guests, the Dining Room is the perfect space to celebrate those special occasions with your family and friends.
